Image Compressor and Resizer

Compress and resize JPG, PNG and WebP images locally in your browser. Adjust quality and dimensions, compare file sizes and download a batch.

Your files and text stay on this device. Processing runs in your browser.

Images are re-encoded. Metadata is not copied; JPG uses a white background for transparency. PNG quality is fixed. Only the first HEIC image is converted. The target is approximate and applies to JPG and WebP. If it cannot be reached, the actual size is shown. Output can be larger than the original.

    Ready.

    How to use this tool

Choose your images, select the output format and maximum long edge, then process the batch. Download each result or save the whole batch as ZIP.

Up to 20 files, 25 MB per image and 100 MB per batch. Images must not exceed 40 megapixels or 16384 pixels on either edge. Output is limited to 100 MB. Large jobs may exceed your device memory.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Are my files uploaded?

No. The browser downloads the application code and processes your selected files locally. File contents and pasted text are not sent to a conversion service.

    Why might a file fail?

The file may exceed the limits, use an unsupported format or require more memory than your device can provide. Try a smaller file. Encrypted PDF documents cannot be processed.

    Can I stop processing?

Yes. Cancel terminates the local processing worker and clears the current results. There is no server job to wait for.

    Where are the results saved?

Choose Download to save a result using your browser. Until you download it, the result stays in this tab and is cleared when you leave or clear the tool.

    Does the tool work offline?

The page and its processing libraries need to load first. Browser caching may allow later use without a connection, but offline availability is not guaranteed.

    Is the markup fighting you?

Escaped entities, mangled encodings and content that renders one way in the CMS and another on the page usually mean something in the pipeline is guessing. We build front ends and the publishing path behind them, so what you write is what a visitor sees.
